Thinking about homemade preserves brings back the memories of childhood. I think about my mom making jams, compotes, pickles and other wonderful things during long summer evenings. I close my eyes and see her working in our little kitchen, trying to close the summery sweetness inside dozens of jars. She spent many hours, working until late, so we all could enjoy savoury, tangy and sweet treats during the winter season. I remember her apron and the gentle smile on her face when I was stealing berries…

Zamykam oczy i widzę Ją pracującą w niewielkiej kuchni, starającą się pozamykać smaki lata w dziesiątkach słoików. Tyle godzin pracowała do późna, abyśmy mogli cieszyć się przetworami gdy nadejdzie zima. Pamiętam Jej fartuszek i łagodny uśmiech na Jej twarzy gdy podkradałam owoce…
Wszystkie te wspomnienia wracają gdy oglądam serię kulinarnych plakatów ViSSEVASSE. Te klimatyczne ilustracje przenoszą mnie do naszej niewielkiej kuchni pachnącej syropem, octem i latem. A moja Mamunia będzie u nas już wieczorem!
