A few days ago I have been gifted a new scent from CHANEL’s Les Exclusifs Collection – LE LION de CHANEL. It’s the latest addition to this line and also – a very surprising one, I must say.
Dziś w Warszawie 16 stopni na plusie i na ulicach można spotkać przechodniów w koszulkach z krótkim rękawem. Zaledwie tydzień temu miasto było pod śniegiem, a na termometrach było dobrze ponad 10 pod kreską. Co za zmiana! Czujecie już wiosnę? Jej zapach w powietrzu? A skoro o zapachach mowa…
Kilka dni temu otrzymałam piękny prezent w postaci najnowszego zapachu linii Les Exclusifs – LE LION de CHANEL. Muszę przyznać, że to bardzo zaskakujące odkrycie.
For me, the Lion is by far the most masculine scent from the entire line. It was quite surprising, for some reason, as the name should suggest a “strong” scent. To be honest, my very first reaction was – oh no, that’s not for me. And – I was totally right. And wrong.
The scent opening for me was too smoky, even a bit aggressive. And then, just 5 minutes later, it totally calmed down, revealing a lot of goodness…
LE LION has many captivating notes. I don’t feel the lemon and bergamot top that much, but rather the labdanum and amber from the middle. After approximately 3 hours (!) the scent settles down, even more, revealing Madagascar vanilla, musk, and sandalwood. It is warm, sweet, suede-like. Delicious.
Although it is definitely not a scent for me… it smells like heaven on my husband. It’s a strongly projecting fragrance as well and lasts for hours and hours on end. Definitely the longest-wearing of all CHANEL scents that I have (although BEIGE does come close).
Dla mine LE LION jest najbardziej męskim zapachem linii Les Exclusifs. I nie wiem czemu mnie to zaskoczyło, gdyż juz sama nazwa sugeruje “silny” zapach. Zupełnie szczerze mogę napisać, że moja pierwsza reakcja na ten zapach była “o nie, zupełnie nie dla mnie”. Miałam rację. I nie miałam.
Dla mojego nosa początkowe nuty są zbyt dymne, aż agresywne. A potem – zdziwienie. Po kilku minutach agresja zupełnie ustępuje i zaczyna się dziać coś bardzo ciekawego.
LE LION ma wiele zniewalających nut. Osobiście nie bardzo czuję górną cytrynę i bergamotkę, gdyż bardziej docierają do mnie żywica i bursztyn. Po około trzech godzinach zapach znów się zmienia, odkrywając wanilię, piżmo i drzewo sandałowe. Jest ciepły, lekko słodki, skórzany – a w zasadzie zamszowy. Mmmm…
I nie, nie jest to zapach dla mnie, ale pachnie jak bajka na moim mężu. LE LION ma też bardzo silną projekcję i jest niezmiernie trwały. To bez wątpienia najbardziej trwały zapach CHANEL, jaki posiadam (choć BEIGE jest blisko).
If you like smoky, oriental scents, I suggest you should try this new creation by Olivier Polge and check it out yourself. Also, no matter what you think after the first “try”, give this fragrance some time. You will be surprised. It is a very interesting perfume, for her or for him. In our case – for us. My husband wears it and I am snuggling.
Jeśli lubicie orientalne, dymne zapachy, koniecznie spróbujcie tej nowej kompozycji, za którą stoi Olivier Polge. I moja rada – bez względu na pierwsze wrażenie, nie oceniajcie go od razu, bo to bardzo wyjątkowa kompozycja – dla niej, lub dla niego. W naszym wypadku – dla nas. Mój mąż pachnie, a ja się przytulam…
