Beautiful home of Thomas Schlosser, owner of KLASSIK Copenhagen

 

I am starting a new week with some images from my last month’s visit to a very special home. It is extremely seldom to see places like this, curated in a way that makes every guest run out of words. It takes years of experience, a great sense of aesthetics and unusual love for the best design to create such a home. All of this (and more), has Thomas Schlosser Svendsen, owner of Klassik Copenhagen, sourcing and selling the best of original vintage Scandinavian design classics to people from all around the world.

Nowy tydzień zaczynam od zdjęć z mojej ostatniej wizyty w wyjątkowym domu. Niezwykle rzadko można zobaczyć miejsca, urządzone w taki sposób, że każdemu gościowi od samego wejścia brakuje słów. Stworzenie takiego domu wymaga wieloletniego doświadczenia, wielkiego wyczucia estetyki i niezwykłej miłości do najlepszego designu. Wszystko to (i więcej) ma Thomas Schlosser Svendsen, właściciel wyjątkowego sklepu Klassik Copenhagen, który wyszukuje i sprzedaje najlepsze oryginalne skandynawskie klasyki designu ludziom z całego świata.

 

 

 

 

This 400sq m home, situated in a former customs warehouse in the waterside neighborhood of Holmen, is an absolute dream for any Scandinavian design lover. Dark floors, white walls, and old wooden beams make a perfect background for big and small design icons gathered within. And there are so many of them!

 

Dom o powierzchni 400 m2, znajdujący się w budynku dawnego składu celnego w nadbrzeżnej dzielnicy Holmen, jest absolutnym spełnieniem marzeń każdego miłośnika designu. Ciemne podłogi, białe ściany i stare drewniane belki stanowią idealne tło dla dużych i małych ikon designu zgromadzonych w tym niezwykłym miejscu. A jest ich tak wiele!

 

 

 

 

I was absolutely amazed by the atmosphere of these interiors, attention to detail and all the amazing lamps, furniture, accessories and art pieces present in every room. Still, despite “an overload” of design gems, it doesn’t feel as there is “too much”. Everything has its perfect spot and space to emanate its beauty and charm. Monochrome backdrop together with the presence of wood, leather and natural materials create a very cozy feeling, inviting to relax with a glass of wine. Or even better – some good cognac.

 

Byłam absolutnie zauroczona atmosferą, niezwykłą dbałością właściciela o szczegóły oraz wszystkimi lampami, meblami, akcesoriami i dziełami sztuki obecnymi w każdym pokoju. Co ciekawe, mimo „wysycenia” przestrzeni ogromną ilością pięknych mebli i dodatków, nie ma się w tm domu wrażenia, jakoby czegokolwiek było „za dużo”. Wszystko ma swoje idealne miejsce i przestrzeń potrzebną, aby “błyszczeć”. Monochromatyczne tło w połączeniu z drewnem, skórą i materiałami naturalnymi tworzą bardzo przytulny efekt, zachęcając do relaksu przy lampce wina (a jeszcze lepiej – koniaku).

 

 

 

 

It was a great pleasure to experience this home (during the Design Tour together with Garde Hvalsøe and Georg Jensen) and see what a genuine passion for design can lead to. I will always remember this place and the inspiration I brought from it, together with many of my lovely fellow bloggers.

 

Możliwość odwiedzenia tego domu  (podczas Design Tour z markami Garde Hvalsøe i Georg Jensen) była dla mnie ogromnym przeżyciem. Fajnie było móc się przekonać, do czego może doprowadzić prawdziwa pasja. Na zawsze zapamiętam klimat tego domu i inspirację, jaką wyniosłam z tej wizyty.
